Appendectomy can be one of the easiest operations to perform but it can always be one of the nastiest cases ever!!

Some of you out there may have appendicitis before and underwent appendectomy.

Mr X, male 25 from XX country. He flew in from his country with a perforated appendix!! The highlight was the appendix already been perforated for 1 whole freaking week!! I cant imagine how he can stand the pain and also what the stupid own country doctor cant even diagnose that!!

They need to call in 3 surgeons to scrub in his operation. 3 surgeons for appendectomy?? You can imagine how nasty that was!!

Anyway one of the surgeons told us she has never seen this bad case before, and when they open him up on the table they have no idea what to do, the perforation was so bad that all the infection and inflammation has gone into the bloodstream, travelling to his whole body. They have no idea where to cut him, and eventually they have no choice but to cut off his guts.

Mr. X was sent to ICU after the operation. A simple appendicitis ended up with NG tube and abdominal drain. And the ‘best’ part was, he has ileus and he wont be able to eat for the rest of his life!!!! Dude he’s only 25!!! He will have to depend of NG tube feeding!!!

So people, don’t look down on appendicitis!!!
